Slider Bliss: Fried Chicken on Your Homemade Rolls!

Today we dive into the wonderful world of the slider – small in size, big in taste! But we don’t just do it. No, we go for the ultimate indulgence: homemade Fried Chicken Sliders. And to make it extra special, we of course used homemade buns. Because let’s be honest, a good bun makes it complete!

Step 1: The Soft Hamburger Buns (Yes, You Make Them Yourself!)
You need (for approx. 8-10 sliders): 300g flour, 150ml warm milk/water, 7g yeast (instant), 25g sugar, pinch of salt, 25g melted butter/oil. Optional: egg (beaten for shine), sesame seeds.

This is how you do it:
Mix flour, sugar, salt, yeast. Add warm milk/water and melted butter.
Knead into a smooth dough (approx. 8-10 min).
Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled (approx. 1 hour).
Divide dough, form small balls. Place on a baking sheet, let rise again (approx. 30-45 min).
Optionally brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame. Bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for 12-15 min until golden brown. Let cool.

Step 2: The Star: Crispy Fried Chicken
You need: Chicken thigh fillet (pieces), buttermilk, spice mix (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne), flour, cornstarch, frying oil.

This is how you do it:
Marinate chicken in buttermilk with herbs (min. 30 min).
Coat chicken in flour/cornstarch mix with herbs.
Fry until golden brown and done (175°C, 5-8 min). Drain.

Step 3: The Creamy Sauce
You need: Mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pinches of paprika, garlic powder, cayenne (optional: pickle juice).

This is how you do it: Mix all ingredients well.

Step 4: Assemble & Enjoy!
Cut your home-baked rolls open.
Place pickle/gherkin on the bottom.
Place the fried chicken on top.
Drizzle the creamy sauce generously over it.
Cover with the top of the roll.

Take a bite and enjoy! Homemade is the best!
